Happy New Year!

Hello all! How are you all. We've been BUSY! Christmas was great...but we didn't have any presents to open due to our amazing USPS! They say it only takes 5-7 days but it really takes about 15-20 days for delivery. Brian and i ordered our presents for eachother from America so they haven't gotten here yet...so it was kind of a strange day Christmas. We had a few gifts from the mothers of brian's teachers, and I got brian a cool sweater vest and he got me a really cute hat and scarf set. On christmas day we went to Itaewon (near the american miliary base) and had a dinner at this bar...it was $35 per person so we were a little sceptical about paying that much for a meal but it was totally worth it~ we'll definitely go next year! There was Turkey, Stuffing, Roastbeef, Chicken, salad, bread, and desert! It was amazing..you can't get that kind of food here...plus there were more white people there than i've seen in one place for a long time...it was strange. Gray took us~Amy's home in Canada and he decided he wanted to see what we were like a little tipsy...so he kept buying us drinks and shots...i was so giggly...but nothin bad..all in good fun eh?! hahah

We did however get to have Christmas on the phone with both our families! Brian called his brothers at like 7:30 AM their time and tried to get them all up for about an hour, being passed around the house to all the brothers who didn't want to be woken up but after much prodding Brian managed to get them out of bed to open all their presents. My parents were gone over christmas but they called us from my aunt and uncles house...i cried! We had "Christmas via phone" with them on the 27th...That's us on the phone with dad!

We got our presents from them on Tuesday and had a "pizza and opening presents" party! Here are some pictures from then!

I was so excited...Mom sent me a pair of jeans...Brian and I have lost about 10-20 lbs each since we've been here...i've dropped about 1.5 sizes (sz10) but the biggest size they have here is an 8 so i couldn't find any pants to fit me...it's so nice to have clothes that fit now!
There are more pictures on our "Online Photo Album." page...if you're interested in that kind of stuff!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Love you all

Proof there is a God....

are words even needed here???

1 Year Anniversary!

I can't believe we've already been married a year! It's crazy! It's been a hard year but I'm pretty sure that things will continue to get better as more years pass!

Yesterday morning we woke up to a fresh layer of snow on the ground...it was so nice and it was still snowing a little bit as we walked down to the bus stop to go eat 3 layer pork one of my favorite things to eat. What they do is they bring about a 6in long/1in thick/1in tall piece of meat and you sear it in front of you and then you cut it up and cook the rest of it and eat it as lettuce wraps with all types of sauces. I loved it..

Then we went up to Gangnam station to try to watch a movie...we went to 3 different movie theaters and the one we wanted to see was sold out. Soo..we ended up taking a bus back to Seohyeon (near our house) to watch a movie.

Christmas Play

On Saturday, Brian and I went to his Christmas Program for his kids...It was fun....the kids did awesome! They were so cute and they all worked really hard and it turned out pretty good.

Brian sang with his group of kids to keep them on track and to kind of cover the bases just incase one forgot his or her lines but he didn't have to jump in anywhere and having him up there helped the kids feel more comfortable with the english songs.

It was fun...then we went to Chilies with some friends for dinner and went home.

Wasssssssup my homeslices...

So it's been a while my friends...

Not much is going on here, we got all our shopping done...IT was so much fun, and Brian (after a little reminding from me) had a good attitude about it ALMOST the whole time! We got it all done in 2 trips. We shipped it this week...the shipping was about as much as we spent on everyone...ewwwwwwww. but it's still cheaper than people sending things here i think.

Brian got paid today so that's always a good day. our anniversary is next week...it's crazy to think we've already been married a year. Seems like it was just yesterday, but it also seems like an eternity!!! just kidding...

It snowed last week...it's really cold. Brian hit someone in our car, but he was going really slow and the guy wasn't upset...he just kept telling brian "Slowly , Slowly." I thought that was funny!!!

We saw Prime last night. it was good but i didn't like the ending.

We're going to start getting more involved in our church here and i'm really excieted about that...especially making more friends around here...sometimes i get really lonely.

Brian has a funny story about his kids....

They were learning a song about Noah building an ark out of gopher bark...but his kids insist on singing Gopher farts and have no idea...they are 3 years old!!! Brian says he tries to keep a strait face but as much as he tries sometimes it's hard not to crack a smile!

Well, i'll try to post some pictures soon..theres' not many but we'll see...nothing much going on right now...sorry this was so boring!!!!

Miss yo uall
